Are gold-plated silver earrings gold?
No — they are 925 silver coated with a thin layer of gold. They look like gold but cost a fraction of the price. In the product description we always clearly mark the base metal: “gold-plated silver” is silver, “333/585 gold” is solid gold.
Which earrings are safe for sensitive ears?
The safest are solid gold of higher hallmarks and rhodium-plated silver — rhodium creates a neutral barrier. Avoid wearing jewellery of unknown origin for long; with us the metal composition is always stated with the product.
